Boiler Plant Upgrade – 6 Story 54 Family Apartment Building – Brooklyn
Hydronic heating boiler upgrades from inefficient gas-fired units to high-efficiency boilers and water heaters. The project included new heating circulating pumps with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controls. Upgrade also included a new chimney liner, domestic hot water recirculation pump, and tempering valve. We also problem solved an age-old issue with the domestic hot water return system. The building was wasting domestic hot water by periodically waiting for it becomes hot which at times was 10 to 15 minutes. Domestic hot water is now received within seconds.
